In an installation, the viewer has to manoeuvre oneself through narrow passageways due to gigantic colourful cubes depicting video pieces. In some of them, the artists is performing as his alter ego Eminem, while doing the strangest activities. Not to miss right?

Very-very excited for the upcoming Wolfgang Tillmans exhibition at @wiels_brussels in 2020! He’s one of my fav artists and known for pushing the limits of photography as an artistic medium. Tillmans’ ambition is nothing less than to capture the world we live in or, as he has said himself, to “make pictures that talk about what it feels like to be alive today.” Rising to prominence in the 1990s, he captured counter culture, clubs, and the LGBTQ community in a diary-like style. Turning to different techniques and themes, he continues to address the question what it means to create pictures in an increasingly image-saturated world.

Joan Mitchell’s Canada I from 1975 is now on view as part of the @guggenheim’s “Artistic License: Six Takes on the Guggenheim Collection.” The first-ever artist-curated exhibition mounted at the Guggenheim celebrates the museum’s extensive collection of modern and contemporary art. Curated by Cai Guo-Qiang, Paul Chan, Jenny Holzer, Julie Mehretu, Richard Prince, and Carrie Mae Weems—artists who each have had influential solo shows at the museum—Artistic License brings together both well-known and rarely seen works from the turn of the century to 1980.
